Love Actually Is All Around

My amazing, wonderful brother bought me a dvd last night for no apparent reason. One of my favourite movies of all time, which I have just finished watching too late at night, Love Actually. I don't know what draws me to it so much, probably the seemingly unobtainable goal of finding love. I want romance. I just wrote a song about unrequited love, and it's something I seem to experience too much. I want love. I want to find someone who will love me and make me feel really special. I have never found that, and I long for it. Sigh...

Sorry to disagree, Tink - but true love is finding another whom we can make feel special, no matter the cost to us. It's nice to be the recipient of love - but the 'for better or worse, for richer for poorer thing is actually key! Don't buy into the 17th century romantic love thing , it comes with fine print!

Meags, Love's not unobtainable, it just comes at the right time. And we always want it right away... At 23 there is no hope lost! Although you can use that idea to churn out a few longing love songs before you meet that man!!! Make the most of your single frame of mine!

I lent that DVD to my Nanna yesterday, how good is a movie that can appeal to the young and old.

More advice: Don't go looking for love, it's like a watched toaster. You'll never get toast if you're looking for love. Let the toast find you, when you're not expecting it.

    Thanks Nomes! :)

I'm not entirely sure what you're disagreeing with revhead. I'm not saying that there isn't hard work on my part to be done. I'm well aware that lovely dovey feelings isn't all there is to love. It is a decision. I also know that I don't need to be in a big giant hurry to have it right now, but sometimes I just want it more than others.

Love is a thing of patience and trust. In time, when both you and your future partner are ready, you will meet them. All you can do is pray that God prepares you and them for that day and that you have the patience to endure.

I think you're wondferful Lady Tink!

lucky indeed will be the piece of toast that gallops up on its white toaster and sweeps you of your feet. (thanx Litha?)

I think I'll bring you the head of a slain dragon next time I see you.

Did you know that fearsome dragons morph into blocks of toblerone when run through by a Knight on an errand for a Lady??

No, I didn't know that revhead. but thanks for the info! That will be very helpful in the future indeed. I just know it. When my toast comes along I'll keep that in mind. I hope it's not burnt toast. I don't like burnt toast.

    Nice and relevant guys.

In answer to question is it love if it's unrequited...i think so. To love is not reliant on getting love in return, it's a giving/doing thing, not a recieving/reciprocated thing.
