Gimme A Hug!

I think hugs are so underrated. I love a good hug. A real bear hug. It just makes me feel so good! I don't get enough really good hugs. I think we'd all be a bit happier if we got a really good hug every now and then. I think a hug says something that words can't.

    who's underrating hugs?

Chances are, if someone is underrating hugs, it's because it doesn't do anything for them, there are plenty of people like that out there. Therefore it's not underrating them

I can't give or receive a hug at the moment, at least not a proper one. My back and muscles are too sensitive. :(

You're rather picky at the moment KK. What's up with that? I'm just blogging about what I'm thinking or feeling. It doesn't mean that what I say aplies to the world. It's just where I'm at.

And Guru, once you're better, I'll give you a big hug!

Sorry for atttempting to inspire conversation and giving my views...

Oh please! Don't make yourself out to be a victim! You're the one picking on what I'm writing. You're not just giving your views.

What's this comment 'isle' for then?

IT's all in the way you present what you say KK, it can come across as attacking and demanding.

That's the problem with online chatting, no body language. You either hope the other person realises you don't want to offend them in all seriousness, or stoop to emoticons.

I can't stand emoticons :D, ;) and all that, it's so 'year 7 MSN addict'.

What's with the licking one? I never understood what emotion that's supposed to symbolise

And i'm sorry for being 'nit-picky' as you put it. I guess when you say 'at the moment' implying several nit-picks recently, you're referring mainly to the Simpson's post where I suggested improvment ideas.

As one of your main blog readers I thought you wouldn't take offense.

It's not so much offensive. I guess it just confuses me as to why you're offering suggestions as to how to run my blog. All I'm doing is posting what's on my mind. It's not supposed to be a well thought out essay that has no holes in it. It's just what I'm thinking or what I'm feeling. I'd love for people to have their say on whatever I'm saying, but I guess it just seems odd to me that anyone would tell me what to write or how to write it in the first place.

Body language: Casual, unconcerned - so as to not be confused with scathing skeptacism

Well if you're only giving us updates on your life, then there isn't much to comment on, other than agreeing that it happend to you or that you do actually feel that way. I was just suggesting you make them a tad more open ended

    That's so funny!!!

KK, I guess sometimes I'm trying to stimulate conversation, but sometimes, I'm just getting things out of my head. That's all. It depends on why I'm blogging from day to day.

Wow, easy there boys and girls, just a blog. No hostility! Just fun, casual conversation! So blah!!

Anywho, I love the :P emoticon. Why? Most posts I make (especially at the Dojo) have a very silly tone about them. The tongue emoticon just says I'm just bein' and idiot or if the post can be confused for being serious, the tongue emoticon clears it all up as a joke. :)

Oh, and KK's right in the sense that for some people, hugs don't really do it for some people due to the different love languages. Physical contact does affact a lot of people, but for some it's words or gestures.

But I believe, given the right circumstances, a hug can really be what everyone needs to know they're loved, regardless of love languages. Personally I have trouble with physical contact and hugging outsaide my direct family (and only because I consciously worked on being more affectionate with my family). But given the right time a hug does it for me.

Hmmm...I think my next blog will be about languages of love...

    Body language: Still Casual

No hostility? I quite clearly said I was casual, it wasn't sarcasm.

And so you agree with me Tink, to some extent. Some posts don't warrent comments. I guess I misread the focus of blogs.

I'm glad we can be open and not tip toe around what we think. I don't think we're being hostile, just honest. I like that. I'm glad we feel comfortable enough with each other to say what's on our minds.
