Yawn City!

I've realised how boring my blog is these days. I just went and read over some of my old posts from over a year ago. I was so much more interesting then. I'm going to have to do something to spice up this blog purple monkey dishwasher.

Here is my favourite joke of all time!

2 atoms are walking down the street after leaving a bar and one turns to the other and says, "I think I left an electron behind". The other turns and says, "Are you positive?"

AHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Come on! That's awesome!!! I'm a nerd aren't I...

    Heck yes!

Need i point out again that nerd jokes are. not. funny.

i was thinking similar things about my own blog actually. i'd like to have a mix between the more important stuff (like what i posted about OM) and the lighter stuff (like Ryan vs The Dorkman) but people only seem to comment on the lighter stuff. Is that because they just don't have much to say on it or what? The other thing is that i don't always know what of the "more important stuff" to post but that's a whole other issue. I don't want to do a diary style blog, i do want to have a blog that is useful and serves a purpose beyond just beig more noise on the intenet.

And when did this become more about me than you?

I know what you mean Wire. I tended towards not posting 'more important' stuff because people tend not to comment on it. I guess it requires more energy, which people don't always have. But I do want to be more than just more internet noise. I'm torn as to how to revamp myself.

    Nerd jokes are funny! :)

yeah, i see where you are coming from MP and i agree, the blog is for the blogger not the... blogees? but at the same time, i like to be able to engage people about topics that matter to me and it's hard to do that if they don't put something down. as for hurting my feelings? Well, lets just say that greater men have tried.

    and failed.

i know at you mean about the 'energy' thing Ludi - i suffer from that myself oftentimes. someone said to me that the most sucessful blogs (and this can be extended beyond the bloggin' sphere) are those with a purpose. maybe keep that in mind when thinking about a revamp?

For sure. I'd like to have a purpose outsdie of whinging and posting nice photos. Although that's still nice. The photo part anyway!

    I don't think you need a revamp, Tink :)

I think the reason that people don't post on your photo blogs is because we don't know the people therein, or because there isn't that much to comment on with a photo :)

I think I agree with MP and Wire - Blogging is for the blogger, however some blogger's delight is in engaging others.

Personally I think that you should share whatever you want, because you are valuable and people care about you as a person (especially me).

Wire, you are as hard as nails :)

Thanks dboy! I do feel like I am not as interesting as I was though. Oh how I have just opened myself up for criticism... hopefully no one will taek the bait.

Oh, and another reason why I sometimes don't post on other sites is the word verification thing.

Honestly, sometimes I write something, look at the stupid green/red writing and go "Can't be stuffed" and press the red 'X' at the top right of my screen.

Haha! I don't have it for that very reason. Sometimes I just can't be bothered adn I don't post on sites that have that on it. Sooooo lazy...

Personally, I like your photos. I have no idea of who anyone is in them (with the exceptions of other bloggers who actually post their own pics and not purple blockheads... who does THAT?!?!). I'm a "people watcher," though, so I do find that interesting.

    Nerd jokes are the best!

And I don't find you boring at all! I agree with wire... what you choose to post has to be where you are in that moment in time. So, technically, ALL blogs end up a little like online journals. And that's okay.

For me, if I didn't have a place to whinge, I'd go insane. That's why I have a blog... to clear out the brain of all the insanity in the world... and to know that there are others out there who agree.
