Captive

"So I try to take time, just to breathe for a minute, to find a silent breath I can call my own.
So I try to give time, just to breathe for a minute, to find a silent breath I can call my own.
And I know I choose to be, yet I feel I'm a captive of it.
And I make love to it, but I hate it.
And I want to, but I'm scared of running away.
To make love or to hate, is all in my own hands."

It's part of a song called "Captive" by George, one of my all time fav bands, and one of my all time fav songs by them.

I really don't get that poem. It's way over my head.

I just love the song. What I wrote down is the prechorus and the chorus. It's track 5 off their second album 'unity'. I highly recommend the song.

It's not a poem really, it's part of a song. I suppose lyrics are poetry kind of, but not strictly.

Geese have been noted for foolishness throughout many cultures... even though you're right that they really aren't. I think it has something to do with the honking sound they make. Plus, have you ever been chased by a goose? They're CUH-RAZY! Silly or foolish, no. Crazy yes. "Silly goose" is one of my favorite pet names, though... ah, I digress. Great lyrics. Great pic. I needed some tranquility today.

Great song, it made me wonder...are magpies cannabilistic?

    does anyone know?

It's Ratty!!! How exciting! Nice to have you around.

And in answer to your question, it depends, are you talking about the birds, or the afl team?

Interesting...if the team were swooped by actual magpies...my mind is boggling at the concept.

Or if one of the team caught a bird and ate it, woudl that make him a cannibal?

yeah probably, aren't most football players bird-brains anyways?

That just goes to prove that all football players are cannibals.

Of course it does. I'm glad we cleared this up. I will sleep better now not being plauged with these questions while I lie in bed trying to sleep every single night.
