Bollywood

I have become increasingly impressed with Bollywood movies. I know this is not strictly a bollywood movie, but I saw 'Bride and Prejudice' today. I really enjoyed it! I really wanted to see the production 'the merchants of bollywood' but alas I'm poor. I enjoy the vibrance of the movies and the energy of them. They don't resort to sleazy or gratuitous material to create impact. I must say I'm highly impressed. Great acting and amazing singing!

Also, I just love tea. This is my favourite mug and one of my favourite herbal teas. I just love tea.

Yeah, something about Bollywood seems to hold true to the cool things Hollywood has left behind. I haven't seen many, but they certainly are cool movies. :)

Computer trouble, lost all my links so hopefully everybody reads this. I might be gone for a few days, if not weeks/months.

My computer is throwing a tantrum, nothing works well, I've pretty much given up, and I have to hand it back in soon and won't be back regularily

Well that just sucks. But I am highly excited that you still know the url to my site and can (and have) posted here. Plus all the links to everyone else's sites are on mine, so all is well with the world again. Yay!

It's nice that someone other than Hollywood is actually making decent films again. I've only seen one Bollywood film, but I do like the "coolness" (to steal guru's description.

Oh, and tea rules. Go TEA! (green and chai are my faves)

What the hell? You were certain you'd never see the new Pride and Prejudice out of reverence for the original, and yet you wantonly watch the Bollywood version! Shame!

It's very different. It wasn't trying to redo the Jane Austin version. It was trying to do something very different. I loved it! But yeah, I'm still boycotting the new version coz I love the BBC version so much!

    Maybe she's the Borg Queen?

Well I'm standing by the new version. I've just finished the book and I have NO idea why so many hardcore fans of it say the movie is so rubbish. It's very close to Jane Austen.

I have no doubt the new movie is good in it's own right, but I still like the BBC version and I just think I'm a bit attached to it, so I can't accept the new one.
