Almost Gone

Tomorrow is the day I head off to Nimbin! Yay! I'll probably stay overnight in Dubbo, which is about halfway. I'm really looking forward to it! I hope I get to meet lots of new people, see lots of great music and experience part of the country I haven't spent much time in. I love our country!

And I'm still in love with Jamie Cullum

I guess I'd better get back to the packing...

Not sure if you'll read this before you leave, but have a good trip!

Dubbo is certainly doable in a day. I've probably told you some of this before, but when I drove up to Amberley, I left at 8am and managed to get to Dubbo for tea. There's a nice pizza place there, although I don't know how to describe how to get there...hehe

We had lunch at Narrandera, which is a reasonable way into NSW.

I assume you'll be going on the Newell Highway, so you'll go through Forbes and Parkes. If you're doing well for time, take a left at the big park in Forbes, and you'll see some of the streets/buildings they used in The Dish (not to mention the park itself - it features in the sequence from the Sunday morning in the film).

The dish itself is about 20km or so past Parkes, and is quite visible off to the right from the highway.

Once again, have a good trip, and I'll see how things work out as far as catching up while you're up there.

Thanks Rob! I might have to stop and take a photo of the dish! :)
