Name?

I'm wondering about a nickname change. I generally sign everything Meags. But that makes people think my name is spellt Meagan, instead of Megan. So perhaps I could go by Megs. What do you think? Am I a Megs? The options are:

Meags (pronounced like the word Me)
Megs (like Eggs, with an M on the front)

Do you pronounce "Megan" as MEE-gan, or MEH-gan? If it's the latter, I vote MEGS.

Although, tink is pretty good, too. Or ludi. ludi is actually awesome, because I don't know anyone whose name is ludi. And "ludicrous" is one of my favorite all time words. Of all time. Really.

Well as much as I love Tink and Ludi, they are awesome internet names, not so great in person. Although KK calls me Tink in real life.

    I pronounce my name MEEgan.

Well, then, that makes a lot of difference. I've only known a few MEE-gans. Most of them here are MEH-gan.

    How about Meegs? haha

I'd stay with Meags. That's my vote.

And you're right about the whole internet names. I really don't want people to call me "Don't Call me Ma'am" or "Grumpy" or "Frump" in real life.

    Haha! I can understand that!

So I'm still torn between megs and meegs, everyone is different. Oh dear...

I think the "Meh-gan" pronunciation is more American. Where as most Aussies say "Mee-gan". Kind of like how American's say Tara "Tear-ra" (I could never work for oxford... think of how they'd say Tara from on Buffy) but it's usually "Tar-ra" In Australia. I reckon Meags sounds more like you pronounce your name Megan, and because you're a Megan, not a Meg, to me "Megs" would sound funny.

btw I really like the name Meg. My aunts had a cat Meg, but I think it's just such a cute name for a little girl. Or a big girl. But I've always known you as a Megan, Megan, so to me you'd have to be Meags. Then again, Norbert is pretty cool too

    What about Mugs?

No, that's too similar to a nickname I had in high school. I was Mugsie to a select few.

I think either would work. i think meags makes more sense for the sound of MEE.

    I might stick with Meags.
