The Dark Knight

I just saw "The Dark Knight", the new batman movie for those of you living under a rock. I don't want to spoil any of this movie for anyone, so I'm not even going to review it. I'm not going to say anything about it, other than it is seriously awesome and you have to go see it!

I'm scared to go see it for 2 reasons.

    1. Cos it freaks me out thinking about heath ledger being dead and playing a scary character.

    and

    2. Bats are my cryptonite.

Thinking more about it, I think I really do like Batman Begins more, but The Dark Knight is still bloody brilliant. It's almost as though to reflect The Joker's chaotic nature the film's structure also became chaotic.

Batman Begins had a clear beginning, middle and end. The Dark Knight felt much more unpredictable and random. Not to say it sucked, because it rocked, but I prefer tighter structures.

Why do you need a tighter structure? I just enjoy the story for what it is. Most stories (in life) don't fit together nicely into a structure, so why should all movies?

And Naomi, there are no bats in this one :)
