    i get the error/era thing, and i would find it funny if 20 jan 2008 was the date for the US presidential election, but it's not, so i don't get the joke...

    January 20 is the inaugural date-- but it's not until 2009. So, even though the US election is in November 2008, the newly elected US prez doesn't take office until January 2009.
