Nervousness

That's a word right?
Anyway, I have written my very first real song on my own. I'm very excited! Having a keyboard is awesome! I now have the means to do all this stuff I've wanted to do for such a long time. So anyway, I've written my first song, and I'm going to perform it at church tonight. I'm actually very nervous about it. It makes me feel very vulnerable for some reason. I have issues with opening myself up to criticism.
*giggles nervously*

Well, everyone. I was there to hear it!
I arrived at cathederal just as the church service was beginning. I and the other sisters had had a terrible time catching a late flight from Tasmania, and then we'd, all seven of us piled into a yellow cab, habits flying in the wind and pulled up at the magnificent edifice that is St. Tink's of Electronic Keyboards. (Just lke in Sister Act)

Well, Tink was magnificent - great voice great lyrics and well recived and relevant to the stuff they seemed to be talking about.

The lead voacla in the Convent Choir is yours for the asking, sister tink!

    From memory a sample:
Another long day, has come and gone away
My bubble is about to burst, but I can’t find the words to say
Oooo Remember the truth is, that I want you to know me
Even if what I do says, “I don’t want you to know me.”

    Am I just passing by?
    Come on in
    let’s sit awhile
    Am I just passing by?
    Come on in
    let’s sit awhile

Thanks guys. I was pretty happy with the way it went last night. I was really scared, but it wasn't as scarey as I thought it would be. I did manage to bump a button on my ridiculous machine that set off this crazy accompaniment thing at the start of my song! That was pretty funny actually! Broke the tension for me, so it was a good thing. I got lots of positive feedback, so that made me feel less freaked out. Actually, Caz said that she just bought a whole lot of recording equipment and I could go over to her place and record some stuff that I've written, so I'm really excited about that! So far I really only have the one song that I've done by myself though, so I'll write some more before I do any recording.
